DIAS/ Advertising
Advertising on the AI-TS trolley.
Advertising on the AI-TS trolley reaches passengers on a screen they push from security to the gate: full-screen campaigns and an offers catalogue, shown in the context of their flight, the zone they are in and the time left before boarding. It is sold with the airport's media partner.
The channel
01
Carried, not passed
Within arm's reach for the airside session, and touched: the passenger browses, requests directions and, where supported, orders.
02
Context from the journey
Which flight, which zone of the terminal, how long until boarding: campaigns are chosen by the context of the journey, and reporting describes groups of passengers, not individuals.
03
Measured
A measured path from exposure to interaction to directions requested, reported in aggregate, by campaign.
Formats
- Full-screen campaigns
- Video or a still image across the whole screen, played during the passenger's session. The format for brand advertisers, travel retail and consumer brands; a route to the outlet can follow when there is one.
- The offers catalogue
- Offers, menus and coupons the passenger browses at their own pace. The format for the airport's shops and restaurants; each offer can carry a QR code or directions to the door.
Buyers and the airport
- Who books it
- Brand advertisers and their agencies, the airport's media partner, and the airport's own shops, restaurants and concession partners.
- What the airport keeps
- Its existing media concession, its approval rules and a share of the revenue.
What the airport itself learns from the fleet is reported to the airport, in aggregate: what the airport learns.
How a campaign runs
01
Booked as packages
Campaigns are booked as weekly, monthly or annual packages, directly or through the company that holds the airport's advertising concession.
02
Approved locally
Content goes through approval workflows for the airport's local advertising rules before it plays, managed by DIAS or together with the partner.
03
Placed by context
Campaigns are scheduled by terminal, zone and time, so a breakfast offer reaches passengers near the café in the morning, not at the far gates in the evening.
04
Reported
Reporting by terminal, zone and time: sessions, plays, interactions and directions requested.
Retailers, concessions and brands
In the catalogue, and a route to the door.
- In the catalogue
- Menus, offers and coupons where the passenger is deciding, in the language they chose at the start screen.
- A route to the outlet
- From the catalogue to the store or restaurant, with reporting on what was opened and which directions were requested.
- Ordering
- Ordering from the trolley where the airport's concessions offer it, under the concession partners' approval.
